Save the Marsh House Gala
Sue Clanton, President, wants to remind you all of the Save the Marsh House Mini Gala and Art Show on Sunday, August 2nd at the Co Co Wine Store in downtown Brentwood. Please contact Sue by July 25th at 922 Lido Circle, Discovery Bay, 94505, suesjohn@earthlink.net, or 634-1272. Send the name, price and size of your painting, as well as what personal information you would like to include for the program.
This is a one-day show! Please have your painting ready to hang with a wire & flat D-rings so it will hang on our wire racks. She will have name & price tags for you to fill out at the show.
Your art must be for sale and relate to the Marsh House in some way. Works of art are displayed at the risk and responsibility of the artist. Payment and/or financial arrangements are to be made between the Artist and Buyer. The artist then donates 25% of the sale to the March House Trust.
Delivery of your art work is from 10:00 to 12:00 and, please invite your friends to this important fund raiser.
Next Meeting
Our meeting will be on Tuesday, October 6th at the Bill Weber Gallery at 700 Harvest Park Dr., Suite L at 7:00 pm Bring us your ideas and be thinking of which office you would like to hold for the coming year. We will be having our election then. Thank you in advance to all of you who will be offering your time.
Gallery Wall at the Weber Gallery
Speaking of the Weber Gallery, we have a wall there for anyone (first come, first served) in the art league who would like to show their work. Please let Sue Clanton (Pres.) know if you are interested. Sue is interested in putting together a book of the artists who show there.
Local Artists’ Show
Bill Weber (yes, again!) is looking for those who would to show at his Gallery from August 22nd through Sept. 26th. The cost is $5. Please contact Bill at 516-9266 or call the gallery at 634-7742.
Christmas Party
Ron Beatty –has again offered his home for our Christmas Party and Silent Auction. Yes, it’s a little early but plan on bringing an item (or items) which relate in any way to art; we will then bid on them and the funds raised will be for our scholarship fund. No date as yet but keep it in mind.
