Art Togetherness is every Tuesday at the Weber Gallery at 10:00 am to get together with other artists to create your favorite art. Bring your project to work on and your own materials. This is a time of sharing, exchanging ideas and critique, not instruction.
The Brentwood Library is looking for artists to hang their works on the walls of the library at 104 Oak Street. For more information please call Leonard at (925) 516-5290.
DISCOVERT ART LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP (SPECIAL MEETING)

Please join us for a special meeting on Tuesday April 6th at 1:00 pm to review all the Los Positas Student Art submitted for the 2010 DAL scholarship at the Weber Gallery at 700 Harvest Park Dr. in Brentwood. We will decide on the scholarship winner at that time.
If you are unable to attend in person, Samantha will be sending out an email with a link to the student submissions that you can review on the Internet a day or so in advance that you can vote on, so look in your email in the next week or so. Artists' Open Studio Tour Web Site Updates

The 2010 Artists' Open Studio Tour Web site is now live. Every artist on the tour has a studio designation and basic page up. Please review your studio content to make sure there are no errors to your address, name, contact info etc. Your name and studio is listed in three places so please review all three and let us know if there are any errors.
Discover Art League Bi-Monthly Art Contest
Bring a piece of art to the next art league meeting to be entered in a contest., The winner will be chosen by popular vote and if you win your art will be mentioned in the following newsletter and on the Discover Art League’s website. Open Studio Tour 2010
Thank you Jack Gaughan for doing such a great job of organizing this year’s Open Studio Tour which will be held on May 22nd & 23rd. We have over 60 artists lined up for this premier event and we hope you have your spot. There will be a reception at the Lynn House Gallery on May 7th so be sure to mark your calendars. Art, Wine & Jazz Festival August 28th & 29th
This year’s Art, Wine & Jazz festival will be help at the Streets of Brentwood. You will need a Resale Certificate to participate so you will need to fill out an application with the State Board of Equalization. 2nd Annual Plein Air Paint Out will be April 3rd from 8:00 – 2:30 hosted by the East Bay Regional Parks District. You can learn more about this event and locations of the event by calling their phone number at (888) 327-2757.

Sue Arkwright is looking for artists and crafts persons for the First Annual Vintage Faire on October 23, 2010 to be held in Brentwood at the Vic Stewart’s Plaza. This will be an upscale art & wine festival with an emphasis on anything vintage, retro, art nouveau, or anything from the past. It is not necessary to offer vintage art but if you can display anything with a vintage flair that would be great! The cost is $50.00 for a space.
