Art For Opportunity
The Antioch Rotary Club is sponsoring an Art for Opportunity fund-raiser on Saturday, October 17th. Paintings can be dropped off at the Historical Society between 1:00 and 4:00. The Artists are invited to attend the event 6-8 p.m. Artists will receive 100% of proceeds from art for sale. Any art donated for the Live Auction will have the proceeds split 50%/50%. Labels will be made up and Artists should provide: Painting title (if any), Artist Name, Price. Artists interested can contact Krist Jensen at (925) 778-0720 or at kjteam@Comcast.net

Byron Museum Invitation to Artists
They will be having vendors on October 31st at the museum. This is a last minute thing so if you would like to be a vendor just call Dave or
Joyce at 679-1024. We were not going to charge a fee this time but would appreciate any donations. There will be tours, car show, hot dogs, and stuff for kids, any age. It will be from 11am to 4pm.
We have tables and chairs.
Next Meeting
Our meeting will be on Tuesday, October 6th at the Bill Weber Gallery at 700 Harvest Park Dr., Suite L at 7:00 pm Bring us your ideas and be thinking of which office you would like to hold for the coming year. We will be having our election then. Thank you in advance to all of you who will be offering your time.
Gallery Wall at the Weber Gallery
Speaking of the Weber Gallery, we have a wall there for anyone (first come, first served) in the art league who would like to show their work. Please let Sue Clanton (Pres.) know if you are interested. Sue is interested in putting together a book of the artists who show there.
Ed Lucey, Guest in Fremont
Fremont Art Association will welcome guest artist, Ed Lucey on October 7th at 7:00pm at the Fremont Art Association Gallery at 37659 Niles Blvd, Fremont. Lucey will share his techniques in water soluble oils on canvas. “No matter what the subject, I like to show the brushwork or structure of the painting with a technique known as alla prima.
